Still I Hope
This is a poem I wrote after a particularly creepy real dream I had.
I'm drowning,
In a pool,
of misery.
Forgotten by those around me,
The harder I try,
to pull myself out,
the deeper I become.
Alone in the Darkness.
People pass by,
No one stops to help.
When will someone notice.
When will they see I'm losing air.
When will they rescue me.
Still I hold to hope,
It's all I have.
One day the light will shine,
A hand will descend.
It will pull me out,
Embrace me,
with love so tender.
I know this will happen,
Because I still hope.

Love this. You ARE a poet.
